The Selecao suffered their first-ever defeat against Venezuela in Boston last Saturday when they were beaten 2-0.

That defeat has caused concern amongst Brazilian fans with Dunga's side set to face South American World Cup qualification leaders Paraguay in Asuncion on Sunday, before hosting arch-rivals Argentina three days later.

And Robinho believes only victory in those matches will help to ease the pressure of an expectant nation.

The Real Madrid forward said: "The pressure on the team went up after the defeat to Venezuela. Defeats are never good, but because of the quality this team have we must always win.

"We are playing two difficult games against Paraguay in Asuncion and Argentina at home. If we don't win the pressure will increase.

"The national team always goes onto the field to win. If we don't win, it always becomes more difficult."

Brazil will be without injured playmaker Kaka for the matches after team doctor Jose Luiz Runco revealed on Tuesday that he will be sidelined for another two weeks following surgery on his left knee last month.

Dunga has also opted not to select Ronaldinho for the two World Cup qualifiers, but Robinho remains optimistic of Brazil's chances, saying: "We never believe in defeats even though Argentina are our biggest rivals and our game with them is the world's biggest derby. The Paraguay match will also be very difficult."

Brazil sit second in qualification one point behind leaders Paraguay and a point better off than Argentina.
