Brazil forward Robinho is confident he has a key role to play during changing times at Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Primera Liga giants in 2005, has been in and out of the first team in Madrid this season, but pointed to the club's emerging policy of signing young talent as a reason for optimism.
Real coach Fabio Capello has brought in a raft of youthful stars this season, including Fernando Gago, Marcelo and Gonzalo Higuain, and Robinho is keen to be a part of the revolution.
He told TV Record: "Obviously, I dislike being on the bench. All players want to be on the field.
"[But] Real Madrid is being renewed, it's getting younger and has a new lease of life. I expect to have a place in this process."
