Robinho, having been left at home by Madrid coach Bernd Schuster for their season-opener at Deportivo La Coruna, held a press conference on Sunday afternoon to once again state his desire to leave Madrid and move to Chelsea.

Madrid responded to that by releasing a statement reiterating that if the Brazilian wanted to unilaterally rescind his contract - which has two years left on it and a buy-out clause of 150million euros - they would have no alternative but to accept it.

However, Robinho's future looked closer to being in the white of Madrid than the blue of Chelsea when Calderon outlined his club's transfer plans for Monday - or rather lack of them.

"There will be no player coming in and no player leaving," Calderon was quoted as saying by Marca prior to Madrid's 2-1 defeat at the Riazor on Sunday evening.
