FORMER Melbourne Victory striker Marco Rojas will miss the start of the Bundesliga season for new club VfB Stuttgart after breaking his foot during last week's friendly win over Crailsheim.
Rojas picked up from where he left off in last year's A-League season as he scored during the 5-0 victory but the win was soured by the fact scans have revealed he has broken the metatarsal in his right foot.
According to the Bundesliga website, 21-year-old Rojas is expected to miss four to six weeks of football, making a first team debut in the opening week of the competition against Main on August 11 highly unlikely.
Rojas was signed by Stuttgart in April after scoring 15 goals for Victory last season.
