Romania moved two points clear at the top of Euro 2008 Qualifying Group G on Wednesday night after completing the double over Slovenia.
Victor Piturca's side won 2-1 in Celje on Saturday and rounded off an excellent few days with a routine success in Timisoara.
Adrian Mutu gave Romania the lead after 40 minutes and Cosmin Contra made sure of the points 20 minutes from time.
The hosts came out of the traps in determined mood and almost opened the scoring within a minute, Mutu's shot producing a fine parried save from Slovenia keeper Samir Handanovic.
A dour passage of play was almost livened up by Gabriel Sebastian Tamas approaching the half-hour mark, but his shot from inside the six-yard box struck the bar when the Celta Vigo man really ought to have called Handanovic into action.
Mutu was the liveliest player on view and the experienced striker came close after 32 minutes with a header from a Razvan Rat cross which flew just over the bar.
Cristian Chivu flashed a shot wide before Mutu eventually made the breakthrough, heading in Paul Codrea's right-wing centre.
Codrea almost created a second in first-half injury-time but Handanovic made a fine save to keep out Ciprian Marica's header.
Andrej Komac came close to a leveller three minutes after the break, but his shot went wide and the visitors were almost made to pay after 65 minutes when Marica's left-footed shot struck the post.
Contra was more clinical five minutes later.
After Mutu's shot was tipped to safety by Handanovic, the resulting corner saw Contra get on the end of Mutu's delivery to fire home.
Marica could have made it 3-0 late on but he hit the woodwork for the second time on the night.
It did not matter, though, as Romania moved two points clear of Bulgaria, who overcame Belarus 2-1, and three ahead of Holland.
