Veteran Vasco da Gama striker Romario is set to learn his fate after testing positive for banned substance finasteride.
Romario revealed on December 4 that he had used finasteride - which is banned by the World Anti-Doping Code because it can mask the use of anabolic steroids - to treat hair-loss.
The 41-year-old, who could face a suspension ranging from 120 days to a year if the Supreme Court of Sporting Justice (STJD) decide he is guilty, maintains his innocence.
"I have never needed any substance to better my performance," Romario said.
"I am sure everything is going to be all right, but this is a very uncomfortable situation for me."
The former Brazil international tested positive for the substance following the 2-2 Campeonato Brasileiro draw between Vasco and Palmeiras on October 28.
If found guilty by the STJD his farewell match will be in a friendly pre-season tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
Romario would, though, still be able to work as coach of Vasco after he was announced as successor to Valdir Espinosa, who failed to agree a new contract with club president Eurico Miranda.
