The Biancoceleste lost 2-1 to Genoa at the weekend, leaving them just four points away from the relegation places and continuing what has been a miserable season at the Stadio Olimpico after their group-stage Champions League exit.

But Rossi told the club's official website, www.sslazio.it: "My position is not being talked about. The only one talking about me is myself, which is in my nature as I assume all the responsibility I can.

"Of course in order to turn the situation around we need to change things. In our way of playing football, in our attitude and so forth because if we continue to do as we did (against Genoa) we won't go far.

"However, I still feel I am the coach of Lazio. I want to remain at Lazio and in times of difficulty real men step up to the plate."
