Cagliari have parted company with coach Roberto Donadoni two weeks before the start of the Serie A season.
The 47-year-old former AC Milan midfielder and Italian national team manager spent just nine months in charge of the Sardinian club, guiding them to a 14th-placed finish last season.
A statement on cagliaricalcio.net read: "Cagliari have dismissed coach Roberto Donadoni and his staff, comprising Luca Gotti, Giovanni Andreini and Paolo De Toffol.
"Cagliari would like to thank them for the work they did and wish them the best of luck in their future careers."
The decision comes shortly after a public fall-out with club president Massimo Cellino, and the departure of popular striker David Suazo to league rivals Catania.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, former Cesena coach Massimo Ficcadenti will be unveiled as Donadoni's replacement on Tuesday.
