Greek star Stelios Giannakopoulos won the third-round match 2-1 for Bolton with an extra-time strike, after coming on as substitute and appearing to shove Fulham's Paul Konchesky off the ball.

But Sanchez was more incensed by referee Steve Bennett's decision to disallow an earlier effort by Diomansy Kamara.

Sanchez said: "It is ridiculous. These referees are not up to the job and are costing us week-in and week-out. Something has got to be done about it.

"I'm getting fed-up with referees who come to little Fulham and disallow goals for no apparent reason. Whether they think they are coming for a nice trip or something, I don't know. But we have seen the goal, and it is definitely onside."

David Healy's shot hit a post - and when Kamara put the rebound in he was given offside. Earlier this season a Healy goal - which would have earned Fulham a Barclays Premier League point against Middlesbrough - was erroneously disallowed, according to TV replay evidence.

Asked about Bolton's winner, Sanchez said: "Our player [Konchesky] says he was definitely pushed in the back by their goalscorer."

Bolton manager Sammy Lee fielded a virtual reserve side, making nine changes in his starting line-up from the team which drew with Tottenham on Sunday.

But he said: "I picked a team which I thought would win the match.

"Of course, I'm aware I'm under pressure - most managers are under pressure. But I never go to any match prepared to lose it, and it will be the same at Derby on Saturday. This result will give us a boost.

"I used the squad tonight, and our lads did well. It was a great story for Stelios, who has just come back after a hernia operation. He has a nice habit of scoring vital goals."
