Saudi Arabia were connecting with their passes and Hattan was doing his job in that regard. It was the final third where the Green Falcons had their issues.

Abdullah Otayf - 6

Acting as the central midfielder of the three-man engine room, Otayf did well to get Saudi Arabia on top in midfield, stifling Mohamed Elneny. 

Hussein Al-Mogahwi - 6

First shot for the Green Falcons drifted wide of the mark but had an encouraging start. Found pockets of space to open up avenues to goal and almost sent the Saudi's into the lead with a bullet header.

Salem Al-Dawsari - 6

Struggled with the timing of his runs into the box. At times the Saudi's had crosses coming into the box with Egypt defenders ready to clear but Al-Dawsari would be waiting on the edge of the area as the crosses came in. His fifth international goal gave Saudi Arabia the win.

Fahad Al-Muwallad - 4

Failed to score from the spot with Saudi Arabia's only chance of the first half coming from 11 yards. El-Hadary saved the 23-year-old's penalty and kept Egypt in the lead.
