Seongnam Ilhwa battled back from a goal down to beat Beijing Guoan 3-1 today and take sole lead of Group E in the 2010 Asian Champions League.
Former Scotland international Maurice Ross put Beijing ahead in the first half but late strikes from Song Ho-young, Dzenan Radoncic and Jo Cha-cheol secured the win for the South Koreans.
The victory meant Seongnam have a 100% record in the group on nine points, three ahead of Beijing.
The hosts had gone into the game yet to concede a goal but that changed after just 17 minutes when Ross sent a half-volley into the corner of the net.
Seongnam struggled to respond to the early setback despite dominating possession but finally levelled with 12 minutes remaining when Song slotted home before Radoncic tapped in from two yards in the 87th minute.
Things got worse for Beijing when Yang Zhi was sent off in stoppage time for a foul on Mauricio Molina and from the resulting free-kick the ball fell for Jo, who smashed into the roof of the net.
