Serbia were on top in the first half and got ahead early after a terrific header from Aleksander Mitrovic. Dusan Tadic was much more influential too, setting up the opening goal for Serbia.

Granit Xhaka got Switzerland level with a blistering strike in the second half, before Shaqiri saved Switzerland with a last-minute winner.

SERBIA

Vladimir Stojkovic - 5.5

Got down quick to deny Dzemaili's shot with his strong right wrist in the first half. He could do absolutely nothing to stop Granit Xhaka's blistering strike.

Branislav Ivanovic - 5

Ivanovic had to cope with Shaqiri, and it's fair to say, mostly by the second half display, Ivanovic came off second best. Gavranovic, Shaqiri and Zuber all made headway down his flank, although his deep crosses almost created another goal.

Nikola Milenkovic - 6

Some great defending shielding the Serbia goal while also using that momentum to begin attacks for Serbia, getting the ball out quickly to the flanks.

Dusko Tosic - 5

Dangerous from corners, Tosic nearly got on the end of Tadic's in-swinging corner and would have scored if he had timed his leap right - unfortunately he just missed the ball. No real dramas with his defending.

Aleksander Kolarov - 6

Slid brilliant crosses into the Swiss box but they weren't converted. Didn't have many opportunities to attack but Kolarov always provided an option down the left.

Nemanja Matic - 5

Serbia didn't have as much control in midfield compared to their match with Costa Rica. Costa Rica sat back and invited pressure but Switzerland took the game to the Serbs. Matic didn't quite get on top in midfield but the game shifted many times.
