Torino ran out 2-1 winners against Catania in a close contest between two relegation-threatened sides.

Gionatha Spinesi put Catania ahead with three minutes on the clock but Torino were level within 60 seconds when Aimo Diana scored. Substitute David Di Michele netted midway through the second half to clinch three points, leaving Catania perilously close to the drop zone.

Another club in trouble, Livorno, were held to a goalless draw at home to Siena.

In Sunday's late kick-off, Marek Hamsik scored an injury-time winner as Napoli saw off Palermo 1-0 in Stefano Colantuono's first game back in charge of the Sicilians.
