ON-LOAN Socceroo David Williams has agreed terms for two more years at North Queensland Fury from his Danish club Brondby as the Townsville club builds for the future.
And the club has also signed striker Dyron Daal on a one-year deal.
The pair will complement Fury skipper Robbie Fowler in Fury's front third and coach Ian Ferguson is delighted to have both on board.
"I've really liked what I've seen from both players," Ferguson said. "We've signed both of them because we need to have that attacking presence alongside Robbie Fowler and they both bring that.
"They're both exciting and they give you something extra each time they get the ball. David has already played at senior level for Australia and he's only 21.
"Dyron has been a fantastic find for us this year. He came in as a short term injury replacement and has done a job. He does everything you want from a striker. He closes people down, he chases, he plays on his opponent's shoulder and he has good touch and movement."
Williams was initially signed to the Fury on a one-year loan, but he's now confident North Queensland offers him all he needs to perform well.
"As long as I'm comfortable I think I play my best football and I'm very happy with the ways things have worked out at the Fury," Williams said. "It's great to be back in Australia and getting the opportunity to play.
"I'm really looking forward to playing for North Queensland for the next two seasons."
Daal said the season in Fury colours had been more than enough to convince him to stay with the club.
"It's been really enjoyable and everything is working out for me," Daal said. "Of course I'm happy to stay with Fury."
