JAPAN will play 2010 World Cup hosts South Africa in Durban on November 14 in an international friendly that is expected to be held as the curtain-raiser for the newly-built 70,000 seater Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Takeshi Okada's side were initially scheduled to play Hong Kong in a 2011 Asian Cup qualifier on that date however that game has been moved forward to October 8 as the Japan coach wants his players to take on a strong side as a warm-up to the World Cup.
"It's going to be a good occasion for our players and team staff members to experience what things are like in South Africa ahead of the finals," said Okada.
