Two goals from Steven Lawless following one from Kris Doolan sealed the victory as Thistle eased to the points.

Doolan had put the visitors ahead with a left-footed finish in the 18th minute, converting a pass from Conrad Balatoni.

And in the space of six second-half minutes, Lawless extended that advantage twice.

First he finished left footed in the 53rd minute before slotting home a Stuart Bannigan pass soon after to put the result beyond doubt.

Striker Graham Carey grabbed a consolation goal with 19 minutes left, but it was too little too late for County.

In Saturday's only other game, Inverness made it two wins from two with a narrow 1-0 success over Dundee United.

Striker Billy McKay’s first-half goal gave Caley back-to-back triumphs as he was teed up by Richie Foran to stab the ball home.

Graeme Shinnie went close to adding to that tally late in the game, but he miscued his shot when well placed.
