Tottenham qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after holding AC Milan to a hard-fought goalless draw at White Hart Lane.
Spurs were on the back foot for the majority of the first half and had William Gallas to thank for hooking off the line after 25 minutes following an error by Heurelho Gomes.
The home side looked far more at ease in the second period and had chances to score through Rafael van der Vaart and Peter Crouch, but the draw was enough to see them through 1-0 on aggregate thanks to Crouch's goal in the first leg.
Elsewhere, Jefferson Farfan struck twice as Schalke fought back from an early deficit to progress at the expense of Valencia.
Valencia, having drawn the first leg 1-1 at home, needed just 17 minutes to cancel out Schalke's away goal when Ricardo Costa headed them in front at the Arena AufSchalke, but the home side turned things round with two goals either side of half-time.
Farfan equalised with a brilliant 25-yard free-kick in the 40th minute before Mario Gavranovic scored seven minutes into the second half with an effort that sneaked in after hitting both posts.
Then, after Valencia had missed a number of chances to get back into the game and Gavranovic had hit the woodwork twice more, Schalke sealed a 3-1 victory and 4-2 aggregate success when Farfan netted their third deep into injury time.
