FURY coach Franz Straka says it will take all his wits and all of North Queensland's potential to beat Melbourne Victory at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday.
Straka has a "plan" but won't share it, not until the match kicks off anyway.
"You come into the dressing room you have to be smart, but in the first minute on the field you have to be aggressive, tough with one focus... three points."
The Chez has been forced to shuffle his squad, having lost Dyron Daal to injury for up to a fortnight and Isaka Cernak and Chris Payne to Australian under-23 duties.
Coming in as ready-made replacements are former Adelaide United club champion Jason Spagnuolo and last season's National Youth League player of the year Panny Nikas, who earns his first call-up for the Townsville-based club.
The issue of who does the job is of no concern to the North Queensland boss, it's the manner in which it gets done.
"I can promise that the boys will fight for every metre of that stadium," Straka said.
Making a claim for every square metre of turf is all well and good, but it didn't help them earn any points when they took on the Melbourne Heart last start.
"I hope that we can play the same match that we did last game against the Heart, it was an excellent performance," he said.
"I just hope that we will be better in our finishing."
With a wink and nudge to striker David Williams beside him the Fury marksman replied whole heartedly: "I think exactly the same."
