Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni feels Saturday's Trofeo TIM matches were a 'good test' for his team.
Stramaccioni's men recorded a 1-0 win against Serie A champions Juventus and a 2-1 triumph over AC Milan to claim the pre-season title for the third year in succession.
The coach was happy with the team's preparations for the new campaign as they look ahead to Europa League qualifying against either Hajduk Split or Skonto.
"Unlike Juventus and AC Milan, we have to make sure we're ready before the season begins," Stramaccioni told the club's website.
"That's why we're working so hard and I can say that these matches were a good test for the upcoming Europa League games."
The 36-year-old admitted his side failed to cope with Juventus early in their clash, but praised his players for their response.
"As a team Juventus are perhaps more used to playing together but after the first 10 minutes, in which we struggled, we found our feet and started to look dangerous," Stramaccioni said.
The first leg of Inter's Europa League third-round qualifier is on August 2.
