There had been speculation the MRP would revisit the tackle after Leckie was ruled out for eight to ten weeks by a ruptured medial cruciate ligament after the rogue tackle in Friday's derby clash.

But tonight the FFA confirmed no further action would be taken.

Meanwhile Victory import Ricardinho has been ruled out for three weeks with a knee injury after he hobbled off the field in the same match.

And the MRP have also said the will be taking no further action on an incident involving Newcastle Jets striker Ali Abbas, late in their match against Melbourne Heart on Sunday.

The panel ruled that although the ref missed the incident, it would not have been a red card offence in any case.

Adelaide United have also confirmed they will be pating ways with striker Lloyd Owusu at the end of the year, with them both agreeing to an early mutual termination of his Reds contract.

Owusu has played just 16 games since arriving in Adelaide and scored just once.

“Coming to Australia has been a great experience for me, but I think the time is right for me to move back to the UK in January,” Owusu said.

“The players and fans have been brilliant to me since day one, and I can’t speak of Adelaide highly enough as a city – the people here really know their football and provide great support to the club.

“I’ve made a lot of friends in Adelaide, and will continue to do everything I can around the place before I leave to help the club keep building on the great start we’ve had to the season.”
