Substitute Heidar Juliusson scored a late winner to send Hammarby to the top of the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday with a 1-0 home victory over Orebro.
Juliusson, a 78th-minute replacement for Charlie Davies, scored in the 90th minute to send his team to the summit on 11 points, one more than Kalmar who were 2-1 winners over Elfsborg.
Patrik Ingelsten (16) and Viktor Elm (22) gave the hosts an early 2-0 lead, before a goal from Anders Svensson (68) set up a frantic finish.
However, Kalmar managed to hold on for the three points and climb second, while Elfsborg are eighth.
