EXCLUSIVE: Sydney FC's first hit out under new coach Vitezslav Lavicka has generated such interest that hosts Macarthur Rams are reporting a 3,000 sell-out.
The men from Moore Park travel to face the Rams on Wednesday night for the first of eight trial games against local sides.
The match was only agreed between the two sides three weeks ago but in that time, the interest from both sets of supporters has seen tickets snapped up like hot cakes.
Around 3,000 fans have bought tickets for the game and anyone still thinking of going along on Wednesday night is going to be disappointed.
Speaking to au.fourfourtwo.com this afternoon Rams general manager Glenn Armstrong said: "The amount of interest in this game has been incredible to be honest.
"I think the atmosphere inside the ground with 3,000 fans is going to be just sensational.
"We've only had two-and-a-half to three weeks to get everything in place but once it was set, the interest in the game has just snowballed."
Supporters who don't already have a ticket are advised not to travel. Sydney FC have yet to announce their squad for the clash which kicks off at 7.30pm.
