Brazilian teenager Thiago Carleto has described his move to Valencia as "a dream" after he was unveiled by the Primera Liga club today.
The 19-year-old left-back, who has been likened to former Brazil international Roberto Carlos, has signed a six-year deal with Los Che.
Carleto joins from Brazilian side Santos and will provide some needed depth at left-back with first choice Asier del Horno recently troubled by a knee complaint.
"I'm very happy to be able to play here," Carleto said today.
"It's a dream to play in Spain and in a great team, with great players. I'm very disciplined and ready to do what the coach asks of me."
Valencia sit third in the Primera Liga table, five points behind leaders Barcelona.
