Turkey coach Fatih Terim admitted he was amazed at his side's margin of victory in the weekend's Euro 2008 Group C qualifying match with Greece.
The Turks hammered their arch-rivals 4-1 in Athens in a game where Otto Rehhagel's men had taken the lead.
Turkey are now three points clear on top of the pool as they prepare to face Norway on Wednesday in a home match which will be played on neutral soil in Frankfurt - the last game they will have to play outside Turkey behind closed doors following the punishments that followed the brawl in the World Cup qualifying play-off defeat by Switzerland in November 2005.
"Greece are European champions and you don't expect to win away by such a score," said the former Galatasaray, Fiorentina and AC Milan coach in remarks reported by the Turkish Football Federation website, www.tff.org.
Sotirios Kyrgiakos had fired the home team into an early lead at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, but Tuncay Sanli managed to get Turkey back on level terms.
The half-time trip to the dressing room then looked to have inspired Terim`s team and further goals by Gokhan Unal, Tumer Metin and Gokdeniz Karadeniz turned a dramatic game in favour of the visitors
