Brazilian winger Henrique opened the scoring on eight minutes with a shot into the top corner following some good lead-up work by debutant Kosta Barbarouses.

The first half also included Roar debuts for defender Matt Smith and goalkeeper Theoklitos.

Brisbane doubled their lead nine minutes later through Massimo Murdocca.

Reinaldo created the chance for Murdocca by deftly controlling a Matt McKay chip into the box, holding off an Olympic defender before rolling the ball into the path of the Roar midfielder to smash into the top of the net.

Four minutes before the interval Barbarouses scored his first Roar goal, beating the offside trap and latching onto a long ball from the back to round the keeper and walk the ball into the net.

Reinaldo rounded out the scoring on the stroke of half-time, clinically finishing a Mitch Nichols cross.

The second half provided no goals, but did give fans the opportunity to catch a glimpse of another debutant in German import Thomas Broich.

The pre-season program continues next Tuesday with a Roar Roadshow training match against Peninsula Power at A.J. Kelly Park, Kippa-Ring.
