Ulsan Horang-I extended their lead at the top of the K-League with a 1-0 win at home to Jeju United.
A first-half penalty from Ulsan's Paraguayan striker Jose Ortigoza won the game for the Tigers who moved four points clear of Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in second place.
The goal came after 16 minutes. The South American was fouled in the area by South Korea defender Cho Yong-hyung and Ortigoza stepped up to slot home the spot kick and give Ulsan a fourth straight win.
"We got the win but I have to say that Jeju played better than us," said Ulsan boss Kim Ho-gon.
"I've told the players not to worry about positions in the table but just to go out on to the pitch and enjoy their football.
"It is still early days as far as the season is concerned and there is still a long way to go," added the former Korean international.
FC Seoul can close the gap at the top to a single point if they win at Daegu FC tomorrow.
In the day's other fixture, Cho Yong-tae struck with six minutes remaining to give Gwangju Sangmu a 3-2 win at Chunnam Dragons in the South Jeolla Derby. The three points take Gwangju into sixth place.
