FC Tokyo have denied reports they are set to make a bold bid to sign Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved.
Japan daily Nikkan Sports reported on Friday that the former Czech Republic star was a target for the J.League side.
The report stated FC Tokyo would make a move for the 2003 European Footballer of the Year in July in a deal believed to be worth around 10 million US dollars.
However, the club's technical director, Tokuhiko Suzuki, rubbished the report and insisted that no such move is on the cards.
"As far as I know, I nor anyone in a higher position than me at our club has made any moves such as making an offer for him," Suzuki told PA Sport on Saturday.
"I really don't know where the story has come from."
Nedved, whose contract with Juventus expires in the summer, won 91 caps for Czech Republic before announcing his retirement from international football after the 2006 World Cup.
