Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue is closing in on a move to Tottenham, the French club's president has confirmed.
The 25-year-old has earned rave reviews for his performances since making his debut for Toulouse in 2007, and scored seven goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances last term to help his side to 10th place in the French top flight.
Capoue's impressive form over that time has seen him linked with a host of top European clubs, but Tottenham appear to have won the race for his signature.
When asked about a potential move for Capoue to White Hart Lane, Toulouse president Olivier Sadran told RMC: "He will go there."
Capoue has been capped on five occasions by France since making his international debut in 2012.
In July, Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay revealed that the Welsh club's bid for Capoue had been accepted by Toulouse.
