Perth Glory have added two players for today's semi-final against Central Coast with Nick Rizzo and Mitchell Prentice coming into the side.
Rizzo missed last weekend’s win against Melbourne with a cork to his leg while Prentice was given leave to return to Sydney for family reasons.
Both will be handy inclusions after the loss of Billy Celeski - out after straining his groin at training on Wednesday - who was one of the Glory’s best against the Victory.
While travel-weary Glory are gearing up for their fourth consecutive match on the road, the club is confident they can maintain the impressive form that has seen them progress undefeated to the semi-finals of the pre-season cup.
"It's a chance for us to go and win something and get into the season with a flyer,” Jamie Harnwell told the club's website.
“If you start the season off well you will probably be thereabouts by the end of it and we’ll be going all out and try to win the pre-season cup and hopefully pick up a nice little trophy," he added.
While the Glory will be without several key players who are on the cusp of a return from injury, the Mariners will have a near full strength side.
Despite Perth not having secured a point in any of their visits to Bluetongue Stadium Coach, Ron Smith said past results mattered little heading into this clash.
“I said after the match last weekend that the margins between getting a result and not are very fine throughout the competition,” Smith said.
“We have battled extremely well through our matches to date and while the intensive travel schedule has made it tough we’re out there to get a job done and we’ll be looking to do that again,” Smith added.
