The former Hereford United player is said to be delighted with the move and is looking forward to joining manager Billy Reid's young and progressive side.

The Accies currently sit fourth top of the SPL with nine points from five games.

Hamilton is set to play Scott McDonald's side in a couple of weeks time, however, it's likely that McClenahan will debut next Wednesday night in the Scottish Cup against Motherwell.

After interest in the Olyroo from Belgium, Australia and the US, the 22-year-old opted for Scotland where he'll get a chance to play against two of Britain's biggest clubs in Celtic and Rangers.

McClenahan, from Chipping Norton in Sydney, was in the youth team at West Ham before joining Milton Keynes Dons in 2005 on loan for a season before two seasons with joining Hereford.

He played two seasons with the Bulls clocking up 65 appearances for the side.
