The Turks trounced the European champions on their own soil on Saturday to move three points clear at the top of Euro 2008 qualifying Group C, and next face a home encounter against Norway, who lost 2-1 at home to Bosnia-Herzegovina at the weekend.

"I have said before that Turkish football needed a sparkle to shake itself at both national team and club level," said Terim. "This win may do that."

Terim admitted his surprise at the ease with which his side triumphed in Athens.

"I wasn't expecting to beat the European champions by that big a margin in an away game," he said.

"We gained a very big advantage with this win.

"Just before the game, I had said that Bosnia are also a very good team and they could beat Norway. It happened just like that.

"Now the Norway game on Wednesday has taken on more significance. We have to win that game over there for this beautiful feeling to continue."

Terim has called Galatasaray left-back Ferhat Oztorun and Caykur Rizes defender Yasin Cakmak into his squad in place of injured duo Ibrahim Uzulmez and Gokhan Unal.

Gokhan Zan is suspended after his yellow card against Greece, but Newcastle United midfielder Emre is available after serving a ban.

Greece will be looking to make amends for their poor showing when they travel to Malta.

Coach Otto Rehhagel will have to do without Giourkas Seitaridis (hamstring) and Giannis Amanatidis (fractured rib) after the pair picked up injuries at the weekend.

Malta coach Dusan Fitzel must make at least one change from the team that drew 1-1 in Moldova, with defender Luke Dimech suspended following his late red card on Saturday.

Midfielder Ivan Woods is also a doubt due to a hamstring injury.

Finally, Group C's bottom two go head to head in Budapest when Hungary take on Moldova.

The Moldovans, buoyed by picking up only their second point of the qualifying campaign on Saturday, can leapfrog their opponents with victory overnight.
