Ultra Football and Puma teamed up yesterday to release a first in football and gaming, centred around the launch of the ‘Power Up’ pack.

The ‘Power Up’ pack was launched last week with those in attendance at the Ultra Football event being the first to try on the Puma Future 19.1 and Puma One 19.1 boots in Australia.

It was clear that Puma centred their newest release around gaming and arcade culture, with Ultra Football being the perfect destination for the release.

However, this was more than just a boot release as Puma and Ultra Football had set up a ‘Power Up’ game mode that highlighted the agility and stability of the Future and One boots.

Over 100 people registered for the event, with many trying out the new boots in the ‘Power Up’ game.

The game began with players selecting their boot of choice as well as their player of choice, with choices between the likes of Luis Suarez, Romelu Lukaku and Antoine Griezmann, all of which will be sporting boots from the ‘Power Up’ pack.

The participants were then given a set amount of time to find their feet on numerous targets lit up on the floor, receiving a final score at the end of their turn.

The game mode at Ultra Football in Alexandria is said to be the only one available outside of Munich.

Those who tried out the game mode yesterday not only got to test out Puma’s newest boots but they were also competing for a chance to win a trip to London to watch Arsenal vs Manchester United.

The competition will last over the coming weeks however, the ‘Power Up’ game mode is set to be a staple of Ultra Football’s already impressive set up with new boots used for the arcade-style game every six months.
