PROFESSIONAL Footballers Australia has welcomed Nathan Tinkler's long-term commitment to Newcastle Jets but insists players at two other A-League clubs remain twitchy about the future.
The PFA wants assurances that both North Queensland Fury and Gold Coast United are here to stay.
The contract window is now open and PFA chief executive Brendan Schwab wants some answers.
With the Contract window now open, the need for clarity on the long-term future of Gold Coast and the Fury is urgent," Schwab told the PFA's official website.
"With only one exception, all Fury players' Contracts end on 31 March 2011, so the players will have no option but to look elsewhere for employment unless their club's long-term future is secured."
He said players at both clubs were 'restless' about the contract situation.
