Dodd has re-signed for another three years while Cassio and Erdogan will be with The Reds until at least the end of the 2008/09 Season.

Dodd has been the stand in captain in the absence of Michael Valkanis and Paul Agostino for the past seven games, was signed to United prior to the first season of the A-League.

His form in 2006/07 won the 27 year old a cap for the Socceroos (in which he scored), while he also netted a hat trick against Vietnamese champions Dong Tam Long An in the 2007 AFC Champions League.

Dodd has made 80 appearances and scored 17 goals for The Reds to date and was announced as the club’s Vice-Captain at the commencement of this season.

Defender Cassio has played for seven clubs previously in his senior career in South America and the USA.

He exploded onto the scene in the 2007 Pre-Season Cup, scoring three thunderous goals and showing he could mix it with the best in the A-League.

The left sided defender has started in every game so far this season and been a revelation for coach Aurelio Vidmar.

“It is good with so many players out of contract that we have been able to secure these three players, especially looking towards the future,” Vidmar said.

“Travis has been here since the start of the Hyundai A-League and I am sure he will give the club good service in the future.”

“With Cassio, he has been an excellent addition since he arrived. Quite early in the piece we were looking to secure him for longer and he has made it clear that he is really happy at the club and has that his family has fitted into Adelaide well.”

Erdogan, who was initially signed after trialling during the 2007 Pre-Season Cup, has made 6 appearances this season, showing versatility to fulfil a number of positions on the field.
