AUSSIES ABROAD: Josh Kennedy was out injured as Nagoya Grampus qualified for the knockout phase of the AFC Champions League with a 1-0 win over Hangzhou on Wednesday.
The big Socceroos striker missed the game due to a minor hamstring injury which may force him out of the weekend's J.League match against Alex Brosque and Eddy Bosnar's Shimizu S-Pulse.
But the injury shouldn't put Kennedy in doubt for Australia's June friendlies against New Zealand and Serbia.
Jungo Fujimoto's second-half penalty clinched the win for Nagoya who are level on points, goal difference and goals scored with FC Seoul at the top in Group E.
For Hangzhou, Aussie Adam Griffiths did not play.
Elsewhere, Socceroo Jon McKain played a full game in defence, picking up a booking, as Al Nassr moved a step closer to sealing their progress in Group B with a 4-0 win over Pakhtakor.
In Japan's J2.League, Mark Milligan put in a full shift as JEF United defeated Ehime 2-1.
Elsewhere, Jade North was not in the FC Tokyo squad which drew 0-0 with city rivals Tokyo Verdy.
In Korea's K-League Cup, Rob Cornthwaite played a full game as Chunnam Dragons defeated Ulsan 1-0.
