Korean FA Cup holders Chunnam Dragons slumped to the bottom of the K-League on Sunday after crashing to a 4-0 defeat against Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma.
The Dragons, who face a must-win Asian Champions League meeting with Thailand's Chonburi FC on Wednesday, have picked up just one point from four games this season.
South Korea international Kim Jung-woo opened the scoring on his Seongnam debut with a close-range header on the half-hour mark before Brazilian striker Dudu fired home from just inside the area three minutes later.
Six minutes before the break Cho Dong-keon struck his third goal in two domestic outings from close range after Kim Sang-sik's free-kick had hit the crossbar.
Cho rounded off the scoring midway through the second period to complete the misery for Park Hang-seo's Dragons, who have yet to win a match in six outings in 2008.
Elsewhere, Kim Ki-dong notched with 17 minutes remaining to earn champions Pohang Steelers a 1-1 draw with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, who had taken a 64th-minute lead through Cho Jae-jin.
The draw handed second-bottom Jeonbuk their first point of the new season.
An eighth-minute strike from Park Chu-young against Gwangju Sangmu helped FC Seoul join Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Incheon United, who were held to a goalless draw by Daejeon Citizen, at the top of the table.
Suwon, who recorded a 2-0 victory over Busan I Park on Saturday, hold the edge by virtue of goal difference, with Seongnam Ilhwa two points adrift in fourth.
Finally, Daegu FC climbed up to sixth place after recording a 3-1 victory against Ulsan Horangi, who slipped to fifth.
