AURELIO Vidmar is seen as Adelaide's boss for the next decade with the Reds strongly tipped to add Michael Valkanis to the management structure.
Adelaide ended the season as bridesmaids on several fronts and Vidmar then produced his infamous 'pissant' outburst after defeat in the major semi-final.
It has been a busy period at the club in the last few days with football director Michael Petrillo quitting but Vidmar appears rock solid in his position.
Chairman Mel Patzwald told the Adelaide Advertiser: "As far as we're concerned, Viddie is a 10-year coach. He's untouchable after all the success he's brought the club."
As for Valkanis, the club look poised to announce his appointment into a new role next week.
The former skipper is expected to be handed control of footballing operations at Hindmarsh.
Patzwald said: "He will have a positive impact and it goes to show that Adelaide United looks after its own in regards to Michael being a good servant of the club as a player."
United had been rumoured to be in a position where the FFA would take control but club officials have since poured cold water on that speculation.
