WESTERN Sydney Wanderers chairman Lyall Gorman today confirmed three new additions to the club coaching staff for the club's debut season.
Former Socceroo Ante Milicic has been appointed assistant to Tony Popovic, ex-Joeys coach Ron Corry is goalkeeper coach and former South Coast Wolves head coach Trevor Morgan is Youth League coach.
Gorman said he was excited by these appointments and the club’s prospects for the upcoming season.
“To have this calibre of coaches joining us at Wanderers FC provides a great foundation for the playing group,” said Gorman.
“Not only are these appointments some of the best football coaches this country has to offer, they all truly understand the DNA and culture of Western Sydney.
“With our playing squad starting to take shape, I am excited about our first training session together.
“These are the first of many more exciting football related announcements that will be occurring over the next month.”
In addition to the coaching appointments, Gorman also announced the appointment of well-respected football administrator John Tsatsimas as General Manager Football Operations.
“John’s experience as the former CEO of the Newcastle Jets provides this club with a huge advantage during our establishment phase,” continued Gorman.
“John will be working closely with Tony and myself in the recruitment of players and the football side of the business.
“We look forward to working closely with John as we build this club from the ground up.”
