NORTH Queensland Fury-bound Daniel McBreen suffered Wembley despair in his final game for York City as they crashed 2-0 to Stevenage in the final of the FA Trophy.
McBreen started the game and went close for the Yorkshire club just before half-time - his effort blocked by Stevenage keeper Chris Day.
But it wasn't to be for York on this occasion. Stevenage top scorer Steve Morison opened the scoring in the 69th minute when he scored at the second attempt after Mark Roberts had headed a corner on, before Lee Boylan made sure in the last minute.
McBreen, who put in 63 minutes before making way, will now say his goodbyes and head Down Under to join his new teammates in Townsville.
