Western Sydney Wanderers will miss out on Finals this season due to a 2-3 defeat at the hands of Adelaide United at ANZ Stadium on Sunday night.
It was a dream start for the Wanderers when Oriol Riera tucked away his penalty, but Baba Diawara soon equalised for the Reds.
It did not stop there, when Daniel Adlung finished a brillant long-range strike for the lead. The scores were levelled once again as Marcelo Carrusca headed past Paul Izzo and against his old club.
Riera stood up to the plate again but this time missed the penalty as Izzo comfortably denied the Spainard.
With a grandstand finish to the regular season, Keanu Baccus saw red and substitute Ryan Kitto scored the winner for Adelaide.
Is this the goal that sets the Wanderers on their way to the finals?

Western Sydney Wanderers
Vedran Janjetovic (GK) - 6
Let in the two goals but they were unstoppable. Same goes for Kitto's goal after no support from his defence. Adelaide could have had more if it wasn't for some of his saves.
Josh Risdon - 4
Great early defending to prevent Adelaide gaining momentum, although he was also caught too square. Should have tracked down on the lead-up to Kitto's goal.
Brendan Hamill - 4.5
Better defending in the second half to thwart a dangerous Garuccio. Poor defensively for most part.
Jack Clisby - 3
Caught too square to allow pressure. Misjudgment following Diawara's goal.
Raul Lllorente - 7
Deep run to swing in a cross for the assist to Carrusca. Chance to take the lead in the second. A workhorse for this side, but unfortunately it did not pay off tonight.
