Western Sydney Wanderers will miss out on Finals this season due to a 2-3 defeat at the hands of Adelaide United at ANZ Stadium on Sunday night.
It was a dream start for the Wanderers when Oriol Riera tucked away his penalty, but Baba Diawara soon equalised for the Reds.
It did not stop there, when Daniel Adlung finished a brillant long-range strike for the lead. The scores were levelled once again as Marcelo Carrusca headed past Paul Izzo and against his old club.
Riera stood up to the plate again but this time missed the penalty as Izzo comfortably denied the Spainard.
With a grandstand finish to the regular season, Keanu Baccus saw red and substitute Ryan Kitto scored the winner for Adelaide.
Is this the goal that sets the Wanderers on their way to the finals?

Western Sydney Wanderers
Vedran Janjetovic (GK) - 6
Let in the two goals but they were unstoppable. Same goes for Kitto's goal after no support from his defence. Adelaide could have had more if it wasn't for some of his saves.
Josh Risdon - 4
Great early defending to prevent Adelaide gaining momentum, although he was also caught too square. Should have tracked down on the lead-up to Kitto's goal.
Brendan Hamill - 4.5
Better defending in the second half to thwart a dangerous Garuccio. Poor defensively for most part.
Jack Clisby - 3
Caught too square to allow pressure. Misjudgment following Diawara's goal.
Raul Lllorente - 7
Deep run to swing in a cross for the assist to Carrusca. Chance to take the lead in the second. A workhorse for this side, but unfortunately it did not pay off tonight.
Kearyn Baccus - 5
Linked-up well in the midfield and looked to play in some good balls.
Keanu Baccus - 4.5
Played with some great swagger and linked-up well with his brother. Poor judgment for the youngster after a foul on Absalonsen saw him sent-off.
Marcelo Carrusca - 6.5
Found space and willingness to make runs. Great header to make it 2-2.
Chris Ikonomidis - 6
Lively, looked threatening causing all sorts of problems in the first half but failed to make a game-changing impact.
Oriol Riera - 6
Neatly finished penalty to give his side the lead. Couldn't put away the second penalty.

Alvaro Cejudo - 6
Had a few chances, great run in the build-up to Riera winning the first penalty.
SUBS
Brendon Santalab - 5.5
Got in front of the defence but couldn't guide the header home.
Jaushua Sotirio - N/A
Didn't do enough to warrant a fair rating.
Adelaide United
Paul Izzo (GK) - 7
Gave away penalty. Made a few good saves but didnt have the best half, although saving Riera's second penalty definitely gives him the extra points. Nail-biting moments in the second half but was able to keep composed.
Michael Marrone - 6.5
Was mainly quiet throughout but played created well from the back.
Jordan Elsey - 7.5
Great low header to clear Wanderers danger. Brillant effort to slide in and clear a cross in the second half.
Ersan Gulum - 3
Gave away the second penalty. Withdrawn from the game to be kept safe from suspension heading into the Finals.
Great work to get into the six-yard box but was eventually cut off by Hamill.
Vince Lia - 5.5
Quiet night also but worked well with Adlung and Konstandopoulos in midfield.
Nathan Konstandopoulos - 8
Quick feet, energetic, opened play which led to Adlung's goal. Got on the counter-attack which then lead to Kitto's goal. Kept possession well.
Daniel Adlung - 9
Powerful strike with precision to gain the lead. Brilliant technique. Had an all-round great game
Nikola Mileusnic - 8.5
Great at evading his marker, of course with his blistering pace at the helm. Beautiful ball across the face of goal to assist Kitto.

Baba Diawara - 6.5
Clincally finished his effort off of the right side of his boot to restore parity. Will give him confidence heading into the finals series.
Johan Absalonsen - 7
On the break quickly as always. Was subbed off after the incident with Baccus.
SUBS
Taylor Regan - 7.5
Great, direct pass up the field to start an attack. Won aerial balls and intercepted and cleared when needed
George Blackwood - 6
Good hit-out, clever passes.
Ryan Kitto - 8
What a player. Brillant run to then finish from Mileusnic's ball. Came close to scoring a brace but hit the woodwork and then just wide on the turn.
