It was a do or die clash between the Wanderers and Brisbane on Saturday.
A win for Roar would book their finals spot. As for Josep Gombau's men, three points would keep them in contention for the playoffs.
The RBB boycott meant it was a quieter ANZ Stadium, but that didn't throw Western Sydney off their game as they came away with a wonderful 3-0 win.
Proving to be a handful for Brisbane's defence who had a horror start Spainard, Oriol Riera, scored a brace in the first half.
Things for Brisbane continued disastrously as Chris Ikonomidis finished with a header to bring up the third before half-time.
Brisbane tried to claw back the deficit, and with Brett Holman coming on, some spark did appear but the game was pretty much over after an abysmal all-round performance.

Western Sydney Wanderers
Vedran Janjetovic (GK) - 6
Some poor distribution. Made some good saves but Brisbane were lacking the firepower.
Josh Risdon - 7.5
Squared ball for Alvaro Cejudo in the area. Great runs and service inside the danger area.
Brendan Hamill - 7
Closed in on Massimo Maccarone to deny an equalising opportunity. Got better as the game went on and was excellent on several occasions.
Jack Clisby - 6.5
Was too square and let Maccarone in. Got his body position wrong, and was lucky not to see Fahid Ben Khalfallah equalise. Improved in the second half.
Raul Llorente - 8
Great marshalling and link-up play with Cejudo and Riera. Superb cross to assist Ikonomidis.
Keanu Baccus - 7
Thwarting attack in dangerous areas but gave away a few fouls.
Kearyn Baccus - 7.5
Dispossessing, stopping counter-attacks, stellar in the midfield.
Marcelo Carrusca - 7
Beautiful cross for Riera's second and worked well with the Baccus'.
So close to a second for Ikonomidis but how good was the pass to set it up? 🔥🔥🔥

Chris Ikonomidis - 9
Started brightly, great passing. Unstoppable pace and was untouchable. Terrific headed goal. Came close to a second. If Wanderers had men in the box on a few different occasions, they could've been up by more goals.
Oriol Riera - 8
Bullet header to open the scoring. Looked for the second header but ended up finishing with a toe-poke.
A stunning save but Oriol Riera has Western Sydney in cruise control against the Roar.

Alvaro Cejudo - 8
Exquisite free kick to assist Riera. Was on fire with his passing and deliveries. Where was this all season?
SUBS
Steven Lustica - 6
Got involved in the attack when he was subbed on.
Brendon Santalab - N/A
Didn't do enough for a rating but his heroics were not needed.
Jaushua Sotirio - N/A
Came on late in the match.
Brisbane Roar
Jamie Young (GK) - 5.5
Sensational save to deny Riera's initial point blank header, but was unable to stop the tap-in to double the lead.
Jack Hingert - 6.5
Quiet first half. Denied Riera his hat-trick as his positioning and awareness saw him clear off the line.

Jacob Pepper - 4
Great block to deny a second goal. But applied no pressure and invited WSW in. Looked stunned and unsure.
Daniel Bowles - 2
Looked rattled, no marking on Riera. Non-existent aerial defence. Stood still when Wanderers moved in on goal
Ivan Franjic - 2
Looked to struggle with the pace of Ikonomidis all match.
Thomas Kristensen - 5
Some good interceptions and blocks. But lacked the killer ball in.
Matt McKay - 4
Intercepting in key areas but then fizzled out.
Fahid Ben Khalfallah - 3
Execution was off, no magic.
Henrique - 4.5
Had a chance but a heavy touch let him down. Played a few balls in but lacked the spark Brisbane desperately needed.
Eric Bautheac - 5
Worked hard to get the ball into good areas but was unusually quiet. Didn't help when his side were off.
Massimo Maccarone - 5
Came close to getting one back but his shot had no bite. Two headed clearances from inside the box. Managed to find more space, had a few shots on goal.
Got a goal back but Holman was clearly offside.
SUBS
Brett Holman - 6.5
Looked to get in behind, shot on target. Made an impact and probably should have started.

Corey Gameiro - 6
Got himself into a good position to have a crack at goal.
Connor O'Toole - N/A
Didn't do enough to warrant a fair rating.
