Henan Jianye coach Tao Yaodong underlined his side travel to Suwon Bluewings with the sole goal of gaining the three points they need to keep their bid for a place in the last 16 of the Asian Champions League alive.
A 2-0 home defeat last week means Henan trail second-placed Gamba by three points and Suwon by five in Group G and another loss at Suwon World Cup Stadium will likely bring their debut continental campaign to a premature end.
"We came here to win," said Tao.
"We may not be the most skilful team around but our fighting spirit and determination can help us to victory.
"This is our first campaign in Asia and compared to other clubs we lack experience. We can learn many things from doing battle with the likes of Suwon Bluewings."
Despite easing past the visitors seven days ago, Suwon coach Cha Bum-keun warned his men against complacency for the return fixture.
"Of course, this is a very important game. We won 2-0 away from home in China last week but this is a new game," he said.
"Even though we are fully prepared for the game, anything can happen. We don't want to miss this opportunity that we have and we aim to stay in first place in the group."
Gamba Osaka entertain bottom side Singapore Armed Forces at Expo '70 Stadium with coach Akira Nishino revealing only Yasuhito Endo will be missing from an otherwise full-strength side.
"This is the game to secure our qualification for the next round. I am not optimistic and am going to play with our best available players. I have no intention of weakening our team," said Nishino.
"I don't think the players' fitness level is too bad. I believe we are capable of playing a good game and earning three points, for sure. But I will rest Endo as he's still suffering from fatigue.
"He could play now but I would rather have him when he is fully fit and I should consider our tight match schedule in the coming weeks."
SAF are down to just 15 players due to injury and Taisuke Akiyoshi's suspension and coach Richard Bok does not hold out much hope of the Singaporeans causing an upset.
"It'll be a very tough game for us as we are missing four players through injury and one to suspension but we will do our best," he said.
"Gamba are a top team in Asia and I think we need to watch Shoki Hirai and Hayato Sasaki. Sasaki is energetic and good at counters on the right flank."
