Central Coast Mariners midfielder James Holland and AIS-based Victorian Milos Lujic both scored a brace of goals in what was a physical contest that saw Iran reduced to 10-men after 65 minutes.

Australia held a two goal advantage at the half time break with Iran pegging a goal back on the hour before the send off a few minutes later for a heavy challenge on Dane Milovanovic.

Australia have now secured two wins from their two matches in the tournament after opening their campaign on Friday with a 1-0 win over the Korean Republic.

The tournament is the first international outing for the current generation of Young Socceroos who now meet China tomorrow before rounding out their schedule against Uzbekistan and top Chinese club Shandong Luneng.

The long road towards the 2009 FIFA World Youth Cup will commence in October with the first stage of qualifying to be followed next year by the AFC U-19 Championship.
