For the past five months, over 290 boys (aged 13) and girls (aged 14-17) have been participating state-wide in the Johnny Warren Football Foundation development program.

The program provides aspiring athletes with expert tuition on skill and technique, as well as education on subjects ranging from nutrition and wellbeing to drugs in sport, at no cost.

During the two-day intensive camp, 14 leading coaches from Soccer NSW and Northern NSW Football will conduct further testing and continue to provide expert tuition, with the assistance of current and former Socceroos, including Graham Arnold, Nick Carle, Alex Tobin and Paul Wade to name a few.

The Johnny Warren Football Foundation reflects the ideals of a man who worked tirelessly to promote the game and who held the dream of an Australian team one day winning the World Cup.

Since its first program 18 months ago, the Foundation has assisted over 580 players in their development and has already witnessed a number of girls from its programs represent Australia at U/17 level.
