THIS weekend's first National Youth League grand final will be the first NYL match to be broadcast live on television, the FFA revealed today.
The National Youth League Grand Final will be shown live and exclusive on Fox Sports 3 this Saturday from 2.30pm local time, 3.00pm AEDT.
The top two ranked teams in the youth competition, Sydney FC and Adelaide United, will go head-to-head at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide as they battle it out for the title.
"It is great news that the Grand Final will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS. It provides a unique opportunity for Australia's young, up and coming players to be seen around the country," FFA CEO Ben Buckley said.
"The National Youth League has proven to be a fantastic pathway for talented players, giving them more opportunity to play quality football and improve their skills and match preparedness week-by-week."
The National Youth League Grand Final match is a curtain raiser to the Hyundai A-League Preliminary Final between Adelaide United and Queensland Roar.
Tickets to both matches are on sale to the general public from tomorrow via VenueTix.
