Adelaide United defender Michael Valkanis may be a crap handyman, but he won’t get embarrassed about it...
I am Micky Valkanis.
I play for Adelaide United FC.
I grew up in Melbourne.
As a kid I wanted to be a professional footballer.
I love my family; my wife and my son Dimitri.
I love eating out with a group of friends.
I think I will be a good coach when my playing days are over.
I get embarrassed when... never, I just get on with it!
I wish I never neglected study when I was at Uni, although I now study away from football.
My first memory is when I was six and registering for junior football - it’s my life.
I’m hopeless at being a handyman - I’d rather call the appropriate pro to come and fix it.
I promise I’ll never give up and give 100%.
Friends say I am committed to whatever I do or am a part of.
When I’m not playing football I spend my time with my family and enjoy watching Dimitri grow.
