Poland were not aggressive enough in Tuesday’s World Cup match against Senegal, which influenced the outcome of the game, Poland head coach Adam Nawalka said Tuesday.
Poland suffered a 2-1 defeat to Senegal in their Group H encounter in Moscow.
“If you want to control the situation, you need to both control the ball and play at the highest level, which is what we lacked today… And you need to consider the reaction to what your opponent is doing. You need to combine all that before knowing if you could act according to the plan. The opponent was playing according to the plan, and we were not aggressive enough, which led to such result,” Nawalka told reporters.
Poland will also face Colombia and Japan on Sunday and 28 June respectively.
