Russia defender Yuri Zhirkov, who sustained a minor calf injury, has resumed group training ahead of the FIFA World Cup match against Egypt.
The 34-year-old took a blow to his leg during the national team's 5-0 drubbing of Saudi Arabia in the opening match of the FIFA World Cup on Thursday and has been training according to an individual plan for two days.
The Russian national team are continuing their preparation for their second match at the tournament against Egypt that will take place in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
Earlier on Sunday, the team said that midfielder Alan Dzagoev, who picked up an injury in the opening match as well, would not travel to St. Petersburg with the rest of the squad.
The FIFA World Cup will take place until July 15, with the matches set to be held in 11 Russian cities.
