The unknown Oakleigh Cannons defender has been invited to join next week’s Olyroo and Young Socceroo training camp in Canberra where he'll have a chance to impress national team coaches.

Meantime, A-League coaches Vitezslav Lavicka, Ian Ferguson, Miron Bleiberg and Ricky Herbert were all in the southern capital to see the 20-year-old, 195cm player for themselves.

We can confirm they all watched Bran play in the Victorian Premier League in Oakleigh's 2-1 away win over Melbourne Knights.

Ricky Diaco, the former Melbourne Victory player now at Oakleigh, said the player was A-League material.

“The way he plays he reminds me of Ljubo [Milicevic]," said Diaco. "He’s great on the ball and is a big boy so he can handle himself in this league. And the kid really wants it too.”

Bran’s coach at the Cannons Arthur Papas, 31, is himself a rising star of Australian coaching. He said Bran combined power with a deft touch.

“He has a fantastic character and attitude. He can play with both feet and although six feet four tall has good pace and is strong in the air both defensively and attacking," he told au.fourfourtwo.com.

“What’s more, he possesses an excellent passing range.”
